Karen's   "Brutus"

Brutus, return joyously into the
spirit you had as a handsome Chin puppy.
Once again run free amid the wildflowers
of the earth. Sniff the tantalizing fragrance
among the wooded tangle of the great forest.
Sleep in the warm sun beside our murmuring stream.
And if you ever grow weary of the green hills and fields
at Rainbow Bridge, follow the beautiful cobble path that leads
to the garden of my soul where a warm welcome awaits you, mom.

"Brittany"

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
Brittany, I only wanted you.

A million times I only wanted you

two million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never ever would have died.

In life I treasured you dearly,
In death I still love you profoundly.
In my heart you hold a place
no one else could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

BEAUTIFUL  CH. FORBES

 Our Dear Friend

"FORBES"

Our best friend closed his eyes last night
his head was limp in our hands.
Oh yes he was in terrible pain
It was hard for him to stand.

Sad thoughts ran through our heads
As we cradled him in our arms.
We recall his younger, puppy years,
And oh his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle kiss
Or his special "I Love You" gaze;
Our eyes filled with tears,
Remembering the joy-filled days.

An angel appeared to all of us,
"You should cry no more.
God also loved your canine friend.

GOOD-BYE MY LOVE

With a heavy heart, and a tears in my eyes,
After all these years, we must say goodbye.
Please understand, I did all I could
If there was anything else I could do, you know I would.

I'm sitting right here, gently rubbing your ears
I talk to you softly, trying to hold back the tears
The memories you gave me, I'll never forget
Especially the ones on the day we met.

One last hug and one last kiss
You have no idea how much you'll be missed.
To look into your eyes this one last time
Please tell me it's okay, you knew it was your time.

Close your eyes now and go to sleep
We'll pray to the Lord your soul he'll keep
Go in peace now, our good friend
We'll stay right here with you until the end.

"Toy  Toy"

Looking back on the memory of
the love we shared, beneath the heavens above.
For a lifetime all the world seemed right,
how was I to know that you'd ever say good bye?
And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go.

"CH. Fu  Fu"

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis to come escort this

beloved companion across the Rainbow Bridge.
Assign him to a place of honor,
for he has been a faithful friend

he loved me to the end.

"Sparkle"

Can you see me, I am here
I will always be near you
to calm your shattered heart
and to make you smile at the memories

Do you feel me, perhaps a soft brush of fur
You ache to believe it's real
but you are afraid to hope
You brush away a strand of hair
But it was I, whispering

Hanna

Oft in the silence of the night
When the lonely moon rides high
When wintry winds are whistling
And we hear the owl's shrill cry
In the quiet, dusky bedroom
By the flickering firelight
Rising up between two sleepers
Comes a CHIN of black white.

A winsome little dog it is for sure
Pretty faced, and bright of eye.
Up it crawls, unhurriedly, up to the pillows
For the dark room brings no dread,
And with a baby's boundless fancy
The Chin makes a kingdom of the bed
